Gail Fly
Gail is a native New Orleanian and the second of three children. Her debut album, "Who Will Worship?" (September 2007) yielded two 2009 Rhythm of Gospel Awards nominations and one win.
“In the Presence of the Lord” (a single from her sophomore project, "In His Presence" Nov 2011) received four 2011 Rhythm of Gospel nominations. The sophomore project, “In His Presence” received four 2013 Rhythm of Gospel nominations and won “Best Performance by a Traditional Artist”.
In 2010, Gail was awarded “New Artist of the Year” by the Texas Gospel Music Excellence Awards (TGMEA). In 2013, she won the “National Female Soloist”
category for independent artists and in 2014, won “National Female Soloist” and “Best Gospel Artist”.
Gail has appeared on Bobby Jones Presents (Word Network) and has shared the stage with Dr. Leonard Scott (Tyscott Records). She performed at the IAM Radio Empowerment Breakfast during the 2014 Stellar Awards in Nashville. Her first Christmas song, “Christmas Day” (Shunnot Praise 2013), landed in the Gospel BDS charts.
A graduate of the University of New Orleans; she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a Concentration in Human Resources. Gail is Founder and President of Raising the Standard Music, LLC.
Gail is married to Albert E. Fly, Sr., Pastor and Founder of Raising the Standard Ministries, Inc. (launched May 2014). They are the proud parents of one son, Albert E. Fly, Jr. and currently reside in New Orleans, LA. |
